Description
The small-scale growers that produce this coffee, farm on red clay soil, which is extremely mineral rich and therefore helps to provide the beans with their unique flavours.
Harvested cherries are taken to the Dumerso washing station, run by sisters Hirut and Mahder Birhanu, which provides a crucial facility in an area of Ethiopia where over 90% of the income is made through coffee.
This coffee has been roasted light-medium to better suit filter brew methods including Chemex, V60 and Aeropress.
You'll notice that the bags inside of this box of coffee does not have a foil lining or a plastic ventilation valve. Both of these elements are the main things that prevent commercial coffee bags being either home recyclable or home compostable. Because of this you may wish to purchase one of our reusable bag clips to secure the bag inside.
