The Fermentation Project

Public Coffee Cupping at The Lost Barn

Saturday 3rd October – 3pm

Currently no spaces available but may become available at a later date should a current attendee drop out.

Join us in our tipi for a free, public cupping of the Fermentation Project coffees, taking place as part of James Hoffmann’s global coffee event.

Together, we’ll taste the four coffees from The Fermentation Project while joining coffee lovers from around the world as the live stream takes place. The session itself is expected to last around an hour.

The Fermentation Project is an exciting global initiative led by James Hoffmann (award-winning coffee professional, author & communicator), Lucia Solis (coffee fermentation specialist), and Caravela (sourcing partner & distributor), exploring how processing methods shape the flavours of coffee.

The project is an opportunity to taste one varietal of coffee from a single origin, processed in four ways. Coffee drinkers from around the world can join together to simultaneously cup the coffees, whether that’s in their home, or at an organised, public cupping.

More information about The Fermentation Project can be found on here, as well as on James Hoffmann’s social media channels and the official project website.

Lost Barn Coffee is one of the roasters from around the world who is taking part in this exciting project – receiving the beans from Caravela (who, under the guidance and instruction of Lucia, have carefully processed these coffees) to then send to us for roasting here in Cheshire. A limited amount of The Fermentation Project coffees will be available to purchase through our shop here (pre-orders being taken throughout August, with fulfilment planned for September).
