This LIMITED EDITION Costa Rican coffee is a great introduction to coffees that have undergone the experimental process of fermentation.
This particular coffee has undergone an anaerobic fermentation process meaning that it has been stored in a tank, prior to drying, devoid of oxygen where a yeast extract has been added allowing the coffee beans to absorb more sugars and compounds from their cherries.
This allows the coffee to develop distinctive flavour profiles that are often fruitier, boozier, more complex. This coffee however, still maintains a flavour profile that is well-rounded, well-balanced and fruit-forward, great for brewing through any filter method.
Please note: for this particular premium coffee we have chosen to supply it in 200g only in order to keep it as accessible a price point as possible.
You'll notice that the bags inside of this box of coffee does not have a foil lining or a plastic ventilation valve. Both of these elements are the main things that prevent commercial coffee bags being either home recyclable or home compostable. Because of this you may wish to purchase one of our reusable bag clips to secure the bag inside.
